[엘더스크롤 4 : 오블리비언 for PS3] 퀘스트 : A Brotherhood Betrayed [완료]

뒤늦게 오블리비언을 구매하여 플레이하고 있다. (아주 힘들게 구했다...)

이미 PC판으로는 비공식이지만 한글화 패치가 완료되어 한글로 쾌적하게 즐길 수 있지만, 콘솔은 그게 아닌지라...
오블리비언을 플레이하면서 영어 공부를 하고 있다.

어디 물어볼 곳도 마땅치 않고 하여 이곳에 적으니 틀리게 번역된 부분은 제가 배울 수 있도록 가르쳐주시면 감사하겠습니다.

실제 게임을 플레이하면서 저널이 업데이트된 순서대로 적는다.
주로 저널에 등록된 퀘스트의 내용만 적으며 간혹 NPC와의 대화 내용을 추가로 적는다.

A Brotherhood Betrayed [완료]

I've discovered that Bradon Lirrian, a resident here in Bruma, was actually a vampire. He was slain by a vampire hunter who has appeared in town named Raynil Dralas. However, the circumstances of this incident sound sketchy at best. I should make my way to the crime scene at Bradon's house to investigate.
나는 진짜 뱀파이어 였던 Bruma에 사는 Bradon Lirrian을 발견했다. 그는 타운에 나타난 Raynil Dralas라는 이름의 뱀파이어 헌터에게 살해당했다. 그렇지만, 흔히 들리는 소식으로는 그 정황이 불분명하다. 나는 Bradon의 집에 있는 살해 현장을 조사하기 위해서 그쪽으로 방향을 잡고 가야 한다.

I've entered the house of Bradon Lirrian in Bruma. A guard named Carius Runellius has told me that this was the scene of a crime, and unless I was a guard or someone named Raynil Dralas, I should leave.
Bruma에 있는 Bradon Lirrian의 집에 들어갔다. Carius Runellius라는 이름이 경비병이 이곳은 범죄의 현장이고 내가 경비병이거나 Raynil Dralas라는 이름을 가진 자가 아니라면 여기서 나가달라고 나에게 말했다.

I've spoken to Carius Runellius, an investigator for the Bruma city watch, at the crime scene. He says that Raynil slipped into the house undetected and killed the vampire in its sleep around noon. The wife wasn't home, as she works during the day. Also, the body of an unidentified beggar has been found stashed in Bradon's house. I should question Bradon's wife if I want to investigate further.
도시 Bruma의 경비하는 수사관 Carius Runellius와 범죄 현장에서 이야기를 나눴다. 그는 Raynil이 아무도 모르게 살짝 집안으로 들어와서 한낮에 자고 있는 뱀파이어를 죽였다고 말한다. 부인은 낮에 일하느라 집에 없었다. 또한, 신원 미상의 거지의 시체 한 구가 Bradon의 집에 숨겨져 있는 것이 발견되었다. 내가 더 자세히 조사해 보려면  되는지 Bradon의 부인에게 물어봐야 한다.

Bradon's wife, Erline, told me her husband is innocent. She says that he simply works at night, and sleeps during the day. She also suspects that someone must have planted the body. She seemed to cast a suspicious light on Raynil, whom she says she recognizes. I think I should locate Raynil and ask him some questions as well. I should start with some of the merchants and innkeepers in town.
Bradon 의 부인 Erline이 그녀의 남편은 결백하다고 내가 말했다. 그는 밤에 간단한 일을 하고 낮에 잔다고 그녀는 말한다. 그녀는 또한 누군가 남편의 시체에 조작을 한 게 틀림없다고 수상하게 여긴다. 그녀는 Raynil을 의심스럽게 보는 것 같다. Raynil을 찾아서 그에게 약간의 질문도 해보는 게 좋을 것 같다. 타운의 여인숙 주인들과 상인들 몇몇부터 만나보기 시작해야 한다.

After asking around Bruma, I've discovered that Raynil has been staying at Olav's Tap and Tack while he's been in town. The inn is located next to the city gates. This should be my next destination if I'm to question Raynil.
Bruma 곳곳을 수소문하고 나서 나는 Raynil이 타운에 있는 동안에 Olav's Tap and Tack에 머물렀다는 것을 알았다. 그 여인숙은 도시 입구 바로 옆에 있다. 내가 Raynil을 조사하려면 이것이 나의 다음 목적지일 것이다.

I've spoken to Olav at Olav's Tap and Tack. I was able to convince him to give me the key to Raynil's room. He told me that it was up the stairs and at the end of the hall. That should be my next destination.
'Olav's Tap and Tack'에서 Olav와 이야기를 나눴다. Raynil의 방 열쇠를 내게 주도록 그를 설득했다. 그의 방은 한 층 위 복도 끝에 있다고 Olav가 말해줬다. 거기가 내 다음 목적지일 것이다.

I've entered Raynil's room. I should carefully search the place for anything suspicious.
나는 Raynil의 방에 들어갔다. 수상쩍은 무언가를 신중히 찾아봐야 한다.

I've discovered a small journal in Raynil's room at the inn. It seems he was part of a group of adventurers who uncovered an artifact of some sort from some Ayleid ruins. They all agreed to stash the artifact in a cave until more research could be done about it. Each of them took a key to the chest it was secured in. The two other members of the group were Bradon and someone named Gelebourne. I need to find out more about Gelebourne to confirm my suspicions about Raynil. Olav may be able to help.
여인숙에 있는 Raynil의 방에서 작은 일지를 발견했다. 그는 어딘가의 Ayleid 유적지에서 어떤 종류의 아티펙트를 발견한 모험가 그룹의 일원이었던 것 같다. 그들 모두는 그 아티펙트에 대한 더 자세한 연구가 끝날 때까지 그것을 동굴에 숨겨기로 합의했다. 그들 각자 튼튼한 보관함의 열쇠를 하나씩 가졌다. 그룹의 다른 멤버 두명은 Bradon과 Gelebourne라는 이름을 가진 누군가 였다. Raynil에 대한 내 의혹을 확인하기 위해 Gelebourne에 대해서 더 알아봐야 한다. Olav가 도움을 줄 것이다.

The innkeeper, Olav, told me that Gelebourne was slain in Skingrad by none other than Raynil. As with Bradon, Raynil claimed Gelebourne was a vampire. I think Raynil is using the vampire as a cover story to get the keys to the chest where they stashed the artifact. I think it's time to speak to Carius Runellius about Raynil. He must be stopped.
여인숙 주인 Olav가 Gelebourne는 Skingrad에서 다른 사람도 아닌 Raynil에게 살해당했다고 나에게 말해줬다. Bradon과 함께 Raynil은 Gelebourne는 뱀파이어 였다고 주장했다. Raynil은 뱀파이어를 아티펙트를 숨겨둔 보관함의 열쇠를 얻기 위한 구실로 이용한 것 같다. Carius Runellius와 Raynil과 이야기해볼 때가 된 듯하다. 그를 막아야만 한다.

I've given Gelebourne's journal to Carius. He was shocked at the story contained within, and vowed to bring Raynil to justice. He's gone to inform the guards. He said to meet him back at Olav's Tap and Tack in an hour.
Gelebourne 의 일지를 Carius에게 주었다. 그는 일지에 적혀있는 내용에 충격을 받았고 Raynil을 법정에 세울 것을 맹세했다. 그는 경비병들에게 알리기 위해 자리를 떴다. 그가 한 시간후 'Olav's Tap and Tack'에서 다시 만나자고 했다.

Carius told me that Raynil was seen leaving Bruma and heading west. According to the journal, the cave where the artifact is stashed is in that direction. Carius mentioned that the only cave in that direction that matches the journal's description is Boreal Stone Cave. Carius also feels I have only a day before Raynil can make good his escape, so I must get there quickly.
Raynil 이 Bruma를 떠나 서쪽으로 가는 것을 봤다고 Carius가 말했다. 일지에 의하면 아티펙트가 숨겨진 동굴은 그쪽에 있다. Carius가 언급한 방향에 있는 동굴과 일지에 설명된 Boreal Stone 동굴이 일치한다. Carius는 Raynil이 도망치기까지 하루밖에 시간이 없다고 생각한다. 나는 매우 서둘러서 그곳으로 가야만 한다.

I've located Raynil in Boreal Stone Cave. He refused to surrender, choosing instead to attack me. I was forced to kill him to defend myself. I can now recover the artifact mentioned in Gelebounre's journal from the chest.
Boreal Stone 동굴에 있는 Raynil을 찾아냈다. 그는 자수할 것을 거절하고 대신 나를 공격했다. 나 자신을 지키기 위해서 어쩔 수 없이 그를 죽였다. 이제 보관함에서 Gelebounre의 일지에서 언급된 아티펙트를 찾을 수 있다.

Opening the waterlogged chest with all three keys, I discovered the artifact to be an amulet. It seems fairly unremarkable, and I am unsure of its function. I think I should bring it back to Erline Lirrian and see what she wants me to do with it.
3개의 열쇠를 사용해서 물에 잠긴 보관함을 열고 그 아티펙트인 아뮬렛을 하나 발견했다. 이것은 그다지 대단해 보이지 않고 기능도 모른다. Erline Lirrian에게 다시 가지고 가서 그녀가 이것을 내가 어떻게 하길 원하는지 확인해야겠다.

Erline was pleased that I stopped Raynil. She told me that as an extra precaution, Bradon had a command word protection put on the amulet so no one could steal it and use it without his knowledge. Fortunately, Erline was given the command word. After giving it to her, she said the word, and the true nature of the item was revealed: The Phylacetary of Litheness. She then said I could keep the item, as a token of her thanks.
Erline는 내가 Raynil을 막을 것을 기뻐했다. 그녀는 Bradon이 누군가 자신 모르게 아뮬렛을 훔쳐서 사용하지 못하도록 아뮬렛에 약속어 보호를 걸었다고 특별한 예방책에 대해서 내게 말해줬다. 다행히 Erline이 약속어를 알고 있었다. 아뮬레을 그녀에게 주었더니 그녀가 약속어를 말했고 그 아이템(The Phylacetary of Litheness)은 진정한 모습을 드러냈다. 그녀는 곧 내게 그 아이템을 감사의 표시로 가지라고 말했다.
